The Integrated Imagery Training
Integrated Imagery is a transpersonal psychotherapeutic technique that makes use of hypnosis and other modalities to enable clients to access the many dimensions of the unconscious mind. The objective of Integrated Imagery is to uncover and process the antecedents of the negative and positive karmic patterns or complexes. These antecedents are the prior experiences at the root of both the disruptive and enlivening aspects of one’s current life experience.
This psychotherapeutic approach is an experiential technique that makes use of the principles in Eriksonian hypnotherapy, Gestalt therapy, Psychodrama, Jungian psychology and some body based psychotherapies. From a spiritual or transpersonal perspective, it draws on the metaphysical philosophy in Eastern religions, Western mystical traditions and Esoteric spiritual philosophies – such as the intuited psychic readings of Edgar Cayce. Integrated Imagery also incorporates many of the principles and practices from the cognitive behavioral therapies and psychodynamic psychology as well as the humanistic psychology and transpersonal movements in psychology.
In the process of exploring the unconscious mind, Integrated Imagery focuses on the Energetic Chain Of Experience to reveal the formation and function of both negative and positive complexes. This Energetic Chain includes biographical, pre and perinatal, past life, between life and before life experiences that form these disruptive (negative) and enlivening (positive) themes in the current life experience.
Regarding the negative complexes, the process calls for reliving, reprocessing and releasing the prior traumatic experiences that constellate around a specific theme. With the positive complexes, the process involves awakening, clarifying and thereby enlivening the positive patterns, skills, abilities and ways of being that are invariably reflected in one’s unique sense of Soul Purpose.
Although Integrated Imagery addresses self esteem issues, anxiety and depression, phobias, addictions, dysfunctional patterns in relationships, and a host of psycho-emotional and somatic problems, there is one most important distinguishing point to remember. This technique of accessing experiences in the Energetic Chain and transpersonal states of consciousness, is very much a positive psychological method. The emphasis is on awakening and reinforcing those positive karmic themes while dealing with and de-energizing the negative.
The Professional Training Program
The certification training program is designed for mental healthcare professionals and other qualified professionals. The program is presented in 3 three-day workshops – beginner, intermediate and advanced — over the course of a six to eight month period.
The objective of the certification program is to:
The format of each training workshop includes didactic presentations, demonstrations, group exercises and processing, with emphasis on supervised paired regression sessions. Participants will have the opportunity to guide and experience three Integrated Imagery sessions in each three day training workshop.
For certification, participants are required to conduct a series of regressions with volunteers outside of the workshop setting, focusing on the specific techniques covered in the training session. Sessions will be documented and audio taped for supervision by the training staff. Completion of the Beginner, Intermediate and Advanced workshops and the submission of the independent assignments will qualify the participant for certification in Integrated Imagery.
