Whatever you do in life can be enhanced by hypnosis. If people knew the awesome power of their subconscious mind, its ability to effect positive change without any conscious effort on their part, they would be truly amazed.

Every problem has a cause, when you eliminate the cause from the computer we call the subconscious mind, the problem disappears.

Phobias, such as fear of water, flying, and enclosed spaces are frequently corrected in two or three sessions. We simply locate the cause, change the person’s perception of the events and the fear usually disappears.

Hypnosis is extremely effective in the control of chronic pain. Many people have found the pain of arthritis and cancer can be dramatically eliminated through hypnosis and self-hypnosis training.
Although hypnotherapy is not a panacea, the areas in which it has been a tremendous help to thousands of people are virtually endless.

Remember: the subconscious programs us. It does not reason, but it does work to create the reality according to the programming it is fed. Your thoughts from the past have created you today. If you don’t like your today and desire to change it, it is simply time to change your programming…your input to the subconscious computer.

Hypnosis/Self-Hypnosis is a perfectly safe programming, exploratory or relaxing technique that can benefit anyone. It is the ultimate means of heightening motivation by programming your subconscious mind to work in cooperation with your conscious desires.

You are already familiar with hypnosis, although you may not realize it. You go through these altered states of consciousness, or brain wave levels, a minimum of twice a day: when you are crossing over into sleep and when you are awakening.

People generally do not understand hypnosis and thus they are wary of it. They think of it as entertainment, magic or some mystical form of control. In reality, meditation results in the same altered state, but it doesn’t conjure up the same negative images.

LET ME EXPLAIN IT THIS WAY. Researchers and medical practitioners have divided the brain into four levels of cycles per second activity.
Beta—Full Consciousness
Alpha—Crossing over into sleep and awakening in the morning, hypnosis, meditation and prayer
Theta—Early stages of sleep, deep meditation, deep hypnosis
Delta—Full sleep to deepest sleep.

“Mind is the builder.” –Edgar Cayce

That is it. There is no place else to go. Hypnosis can’t put you into any place other than these areas of cycles per second brain activity. For most people hypnosis is a mid-alpha range activity and although you are definitely in hypnosis, you remain fully conscious of everything that is going on around you.

If someone walks into the room while you are experiencing hypnosis/self-hypnosis you will hear them and sense their presence. Hypnosis is a matter of setting aside the conscious mind and narrowing the attention span down to one thing, just as you do when you are beginning to go to sleep at night. It is an altered state of consciousness and a state of hypersuggestibility. Because of this suggestibility in the alpha and theta levels positive programming is extremely effective in helping to creative positive change. Hypnosis is a perfectly safe technique that anyone who can concentrate for a few moments can learn. People with very low IQ’s, neurotics, and very young children are not good subjects for they have short attention spans.

What Mind has Created Mind can Change

Important Facts About Hypnosis
1. Directly proposed hypnotic suggestion cannot make you do anything against your morals, religion, or self-preservation. If such a suggestion were given, you would either refuse to comply or would wake up.
2. The ego cannot be detached under hypnosis, so secrets will not come out while in a trance and you wouldn’t do anything you would not normally do if you felt relaxed about the situation.
3. The best hypnotic subjects are not unintelligent people. The more strong-willed, intelligent and imaginative an individual is, the better subject she/he usually is.
4. There are many overlapping levels of hypnosis, but for the sake of simplification we’ll break down into three:

Light Trance: The subject becomes very relaxed, though probably doesn’t feel hypnotized. The majority of people achieved this level very easily.
Medium Trance: The subject becomes totally relaxed and is completely open to suggestion. He/she can feel or relive any suggested event. She/he may be aware to a degree of what is going on around him/her, but will not be distracted from the hypnotherapist’s voice.
Deep Trance: A subject in this somnambulistic level will achieve anesthesia easily. He/she will not remember what he/she has experienced while in hypnosis unless specifically commanded to do so upon awakening.

5. Anyone can be hypnotized. Once an individual overcomes apprehension through understanding the truth about hypnosis, it is an easy experience and one in which the subject will awaken feeling relaxed, at ease and at peace.
6. Most people do not recognize the state of hypnosis. They expect to become unconscious. This is not at all what the experience is like. The chances are you will remain aware of everything going on around you. This does not mean you are not hypnotized. It simply means you are experiencing a hypnotic level somewhere between a light and medium trance. It is different for everyone. Normally as you are conditioned, you continue to go a little deeper each time. Eventually your “natural level” is attained.
7. You will be instructed to remember everything that you experience in hypnosis. Remember, the subconscious programs us. It doesn’t reason, but it does work to create the reality according to the suggestions it is fed. By being instructed to remember, you transfer the experience to the conscious mind.
8. A CD recording will be given to the individual to allow for the attainment of his/her “natural level” through self-hypnosis. Self-hypnosis is a learned technique. You do not have to work at it, but if you are willing, you will become a well-conditioned subject within three to four weeks.
