The Healers

There has been a theme running through the regressions I’ve conducted of late revolving around Medicine Women—the healers in the community. From the memories of a medicine woman’s granddaughter learning to absorb the pain of others in a time that has no beginning or end, to a 16-year old newly-trained nurse overwhelmed by a bloody battlefield during the Civil War, what is common amongst these regressions is that there was a genuine call or desire to alleviate the suffering of the world. The Heart Bean

Yesterday, while doing readings at an expo, a young woman sat down at my table and before a word was spoken by either of us, tears were running down her cheeks, her lip quivering. If I didn’t hold this belief, PLR isn’t something I’d mess around with at all. Before each session I am reminded of a conversation with my...

Where the Healing Happens

Our moments are filled with breath. Breathing in, and breathing out. Over and over again, breath in, breath out. It is easy to visualize, to follow and to feel the breath in. It cools our nostrils. The abdomen rises like a balloon, the diaphragm becomes engaged, and then we release the breath in an exhalation. But it is what happens between the breaths that we seldom think about—what happens there is growth and healing.   Inhalation is to take in that which gives us life. We can go for days without food...
